Final Notice On Linking NIN To Sim Cards

Since the first call on December 30, 2020, to ensure that all sim cards should be linked to NIN, a lot of Nigerians have followed suit to link

their sim cards to their NIN. We at USSD on SIMHosting have also worked with our esteemed clients to help link hosted sim cards to their NIN and a significant amount of progress has been made.

The federal government in a press release mentioned that June 30th 2021 would the deadline for all sim cards to be linked to NIN(s) and defaulters risk disconnection.

Today, 29th June 2021 is the final day allowed for everyone who has not already linked their Nigerian sim card to their NIN.

Here is how you can link your NIN to your sim card if you have not already done so.

Link NIN to an MTN Number

Step 1 - Dial *785#, wait for the window prompt stating to input your 11 Digit National Identification Number.

Step 2 - Input the 11 Digit National Identification Number Then send.

To run this code via our API or Directly, Type *785# into the USSD field and type "2, {Your NIN} into the "Multi-Step Replies" field.

Alternatively, You can visit https://mtnonline.com/nin/ or download MyMTN App to submit your NIN details.

Link NIN to a Glo Number

      Simply send “UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName” to 109

       Method 2

1. visit Gloworld NIN Portal
2. Fill in your details correctly: First Name, Last Name, Middle Name (optional), Phone Number, National Identity Number(NIN), and Email Address.
3. Complete the verification by entering any two-digit, then submit.

Link NIN to an Airtel Number

1. Dial *121#
2. Press 1 for NIN capture
3. Input your 11 Digit NIN.
4. A confirmation pop-up will appear stating you have successfully linked your mobile number.

Link NIN to a 9mobile Number

         Step 1 - Dial *200*8#

         Step 2 - Select option 2 (Enter 11 digit NIN)

         Step 3 - Click on Submit

With these steps and a few minutes, you will have all your sim cards linked to your NIN.
