A few days ago, we released a product called SMEVend. We created SMEVend to address some requests of some of our USSD on SIMHosting clients. Some of our clients have a substantial volume of transactions that a single server cannot handle, and they requested a fast fall-back solution. While others asked for a data pooling system to assist them in taking advantage of the 25TB MTN SME data offer.

As a result of the above, we have received many complaints from some sections of our clients citing conflict of interest and anti-trust practices. I want to use this opportunity to apologize if this product might have caused any misunderstanding in our service to you. Additionally, I will like to make clear that in no way is SMEVend aim to compete with existing vendors or involve in anti-trust practices.

HORLAR IT SOLUTIONS LIMITED has been in operation since 2010, focusing on SMS. Our strength has been in our customer service. We are very grateful to have been blessed with clients who have turned bosom friends. How we got into airtime and data vending automation resulted from pleas from some of our SMS clients using SMS and the SMS forwarder app to vend airtime and data. The introduction of DND and stringent SMS policies in 2016 made a mess of their current system. We listened, and we created USSD on SIMHosting. Our goal has always been to assist our clients to succeed in their businesses while providing simple solutions that solve recurring problems.

We are very keen on preserving our clients’ data and their privacy. Under no circumstance have we, and will we violate that assurance. It is a trust we hold dear. This point brings me to some issues raised about selling SMEVend to your clients. The email and SMS about SMEVend were sent to only registered clients on USSD on SIMHosting. All registered clients on USSD on SIMHosting can confirm that the product is based only on word of mouth. Additionally, SMEVend can only be used by SME Data dealers who own active websites.

In a nutshell, SMEVend aims to provide a fast and efficient system for super dealers to get their orders processed. Until MTN offers an API interface to vend MTN SME data, we hope we can continue to give your business all the support it needs to be an ultra success with a good return on investment.
